Sandra Hoynacki
A resident of
Florida
, the “hurricane” state, Sandra says her husband is her
very life, along with her four children.
She retired from the nursing profession to take care
of her elderly mother (diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
disease), but still finds the time to write because, as she
has said, “I love writing and hope to write for many years
to come!”
This very busy published author is a
graduate of The Institute of Children’s Literature and has
been writing short stories and poems for several years.
She believes she inherited some of her writing talent
from her very creative father and her grandmother, whose
short stories were published in magazines.
Following the Hurricane Ivan disaster,
the local opera announced that it would be producing a show
titled “Hurricane Monologues.”
Writers were urged to submit their entries.
Sandra’s story, “Collections of Memories” was
selected and performed onstage in September, 2005.
Her awards include the following from The
Cat’s Meow for Writers & Readers E-zine:
Best Poet – “Dedicated to My Mother This Day"
Best Poet – “The Proposal”
Best poem of the Month – “The City Slickers”
Sandra Hoynacki is currently published
