Meeting, February 10, 2009

Present: Hal, Carol, Charlotte, Cas, Patricia, Art, Frits. Julie, Bobbye and Stan Yates

Charlotte read Jack’s financial report.  Details were e-mailed to the membership.

Minutes of the previous meeting were skipped, as they had been sent out.

Carol initiated a discussion on a more equal distribution of exhibit fees, based on hours of attendance.  Suggestion:  no less than ½ day sign-up in advance.  Tabled to involve Jack.

Charlotte reminded that dues are due March 1.  Many paid right then and there.

Cas made a motion, seconded by Art:  Dues to be waived for Jack (treasury work) and Mae (website)  Passed Unan.  

A discussion followed about dispensation for members without books, (and other good reasons) but since the bylaws already cover that stipulation, it was tabled till April.

Printer Rep.  Stan Gates introduced himself.

Carol will be the featured author on our web for next month.

Art suggested that we explore website MAGCLOUD.  He will have details in April.

Events

Charlotte discussed Febr. 28 UWF Articulation Conference. Bobbye and Julie  intend to attend.

Art discussed Riverwalk, will handle it.  (Fees paid) March 13 & 14

Frits announced he had personally paid $100 for the Gulf Breeze Art Fest on March 13, 14.

Life Expo was discussed.  $500 for one day.  NG and NI.

JazzFest2009 on April 4&5 in Seville square ($100pd) Art, Carol, Bobbye, Patricia, Julie and Frits signed up for the two day event.  Others need to contact Frits (916-7566)
